In the wake of the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado this week, one victim Jessica Ghawi actually survived another shooting in Toronto, Canada just a month earlier. Some blog posts published by Jessica processing her experience in Toronto serve to remind us what really matters in this life. “I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given,” wrote Jessica on her blog after the Toronto shooting.

See another blog post from someone who was present there. Marie reflects on the goodness of God. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by this unfortunate event.
