WHAT IS THIS? Wake-Up Call is a daily encouragement to shake off the slumber of our busy lives and turn our eyes toward Jesus. Each morning our community gathers around a Scripture, a reflection, a prayer, and a few short questions, inviting us to reorient our lives around the love of Jesus that transforms our hearts, homes, churches, and cities.

Looking forward to “Summer of Encouragement!”

    All Glory To God!

Lead today not as one left behind. Lead as one lifted into mission.

Ascension is not absence. It is authority.

    And He reigns for you.

  2. It also doesn’t say everyone that believes in a way that looks the way I think it should look we’re really you’re just in a state of intellectual assent. Really that’s the way it often works. Some people look at everyone under the lens of are they doing and saying what I think they should say to prove that they truly believe.

  3. FYI…
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing actually has 18 verses. I learned this at our initial Allegheny West Annual Conference of the GMC in 2023. We sang all 18 verses as the ordinands entered the Ordination Worship Service. It was amazing. I think about that every time I hear/sing that song.

  4. Oh JD, how you make me laugh!
    Thank you.
I am riding/ driving that “struggle bus“ too, and your honesty refreshes me!
Oh the goodness of God and His love for mankind——all of mankind.
May our living and our words reflect the Word——the King of Kings, the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
    So be it!
