There are only two laws: The law of sin and death, and the law of the Spirit who gives life.

We want to manage the symptoms—our sins. God deals with the sickness—our sin.

We want to become so immersed in these four eye witness accounts to Jesus that we could begin to tell the story ourselves frontwards and backwards. 

First he reconciles our account. Then he makes us agents—ambassadors is the term—of this reconciliation to the whole world.

The world will awaken to the first half of the gospel when the church awakens to the second half of the gospel. 

And that is the story for too many Christians: standing on the porch, ticket to heaven in hand, but never knowing the heaven-filled house of God is open now. 

The second half of the gospel opens up a horizon of life we always hoped was possible.
