In our tenth episode we cover a plethora of topics. In our focus conversation, our hosts talk about the Ken Ham and Bill Nye debate. We ask ourselves questions about how we read Genesis, how to talk about creation with church members and why Orthodoxy matters.

“Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.” Sounds nice, but how do we find rest in a 24/7 world? Just as the Hebrews were slaves in Egypt, we have become slaves to technology.

The Threshing Floor podcast is terribly excited to jump into 2014. Our first full episode with Seedbed centers around a conversation about why the hosts are Wesleyan. All three grew up outside of, but influenced by, a Wesleyan theological framework. We found out almost all of our reasons center around worship, experience, holiness and grace.

“Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.” Sounds nice, but how do we find rest in a 24/7 world? Just as the Hebrews were slaves in Egypt, we have become slaves to technology. Our technological tools allow 24-hour productivity and connectivity, give us more control, and subtlety enslave us to busyness itself.

On this episode of the Threshing Floor our three hosts share about the Church calendar and what they love about Lent. We ask questions to each other about what it means to lead Lent as pastors but also share some of our own decisions of the changes we are making during Lent in our own lives.
