Discipleship is both relationship with the triune God and with others—a life of surrender means turning our eyes upward and outward.

God loves when we surrender our weaknesses to Him because it is in those moments we experience the miraculous power of the Lord in our lives.

How do we fight what we cannot always see? . . . submission. It might be surprising to you, but our power position is on our knees, not on our feet.

The cross is an intentional and daily commitment to give up control of our lives for the sake of Christ.

As Christ-followers, we are asked to be like a burnt offering, laying our whole selves on the altar and not holding anything back.

But for today, rest in the “but God” that has changed us from being dead in our transgressions to alive with Christ.

You cannot cross the finish line without taking every step from the starting gate, and we cannot be transformed if we do not surrender daily.

Just as what comes out of the mouth reflects our hearts, our actions reflect our lives as followers of Jesus.

Our words are important because they reflect what is in our heart.

In our spiritual lives, as we grow in maturity as disciples, the truth is, there are no shortcuts, just practice.

Our lives are not only an altar, but we are to share in the sufferings of Christ which means we also offer ourselves as a sacrifice.
