A God Who Wears Sandals
Sometimes we can be so spiritually-minded that we forget to be human.
On the one hand, Jesus is the God who sits on the throne of Heaven. On the other, he is the man who carries his own cross for the whole world.
The single most important truth in all of history—the only truth with the power to save us: God is Jesus.
We fail to lay hold of the fullness of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit because we are isolated in broken patterns of sin.
The work of the Lord is not something we do “for the Lord.” It is something the Lord does through us for others and he does it as we give ourselves to him.
The Christian faith—also known as the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ—is about the defeat of sin and the end of death.
Because Christ is raised from the dead, all those who are in Christ will also be raised from the dead. There is no such thing as one without the other.
The gifts of God flow from the love of God and they are entrusted to those who are walking in the way of love.
We go to church to give, to make an offering of ourselves as a living sacrifice, to build up the Body of Christ.
